salzburg restaurant
Nestled in San Francisco’s North Beach neighborhood, The Salzburg offers a cozy, Austrian-inspired retreat that combines rustic charm with modern flair. Designed by the team behind Union Larder and Little Vine, the space evokes the warmth of an Alpine chalet, featuring a handcrafted redwood facade, walnut bar, and birch-accented booths. A back patio with a fire pit provides an inviting outdoor space, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine on a foggy evening.
The menu, curated by chef Ramon Siewert, offers a selection of Alpine-inspired dishes, including fondue, schnitzel, and housemade sausages like käsekrainer and bratwurst. Accompanying the fare is an extensive wine list featuring 45 wines by the glass, highlighting varietals from regions around the Alps and their American counterparts.
With its blend of hearty cuisine, thoughtful design, and welcoming atmosphere, The Salzburg brings a slice of Austria to San Francisco, offering both locals and visitors a unique dining experience that celebrates Alpine traditions in a contemporary setting.
